Harold is a Belgian senior corporate and financial lawyer with over 40 years of international experience. Renowned for his extensive cross-border practice, Harold specializes in private equity, project finance, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, investment structuring, establishment of investment funds, project structuring, asset-backed financing, securities law, acquisition finance and renewable energy.

He has provided legal counsel on complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions, including Europe, the United States, Mexico, the Democratic Republic of Congo, other African nations, and the People’s Republic of China.

He has held partner positions at prestigious law firms such as Dorsey & Whitney LLP, a leading U.S. practice, and Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, a top-tier British firm.

From 2001 to 2019, he served as a director of the European Biomass Industry Association, where he gained deep insights into the biomass sector and established an extensive professional network within the industry.
