Cristina Corazza

Energy, Environmental and Communications Expert

Cristina is a professional journalist who has covered energy and the environment since 1985. She has worked as a freelancer for various publications; in 1991, she was hired by the Adnkronos press agency to edit the weekly special on "Territory and Environment". She subsequently coordinated the weekly special "Energy and Environment" for the Economics editorial team.

She has participated in journalistic assignments on economic topics, including OPEC summits, the G8, and international conferences on the environment and energy. In 2007, she joined the Italian Regulatory Authority for Electricity and Gas (now ARERA) as Director of Communications. In 2014, she was appointed Sub-Commissioner of ENEA, the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, and, after ENEA's dismissal, she became Head of the Relations and Communications Unit and editor of the scientific journal "Energy, Environment and Innovation". For the Italian newspaper "Il Sole 24 Ore", she has published "Black Gold, Red Accounts – How the Great Oil Game is Changing" and "The Gas War – The New Masters of Energy – The Risks for Italy and Europe".

She has won several awards, including the Ischia Prize for Best Public Administration Communicator, the Ministry of the Environment's "Environment is Development" Award, and the Laigueglia Prize for Environmental Journalism. She is an Officer of Merit of the Italian Republic.
